The Malevolent Ones

Mindmap of the Malevolence (click)

More could be added, some combined, some removed. However these are the main six right now.

Legor
Image
The most ancient of the Malevolent ones, first through the teleportation gates of that ancient technocratic race, and the first to cause havoc as the benign Otherworld being attached itself to one of the observing generals of that time, quickly taking on the mantra of war and carnage, feeding on the soldiers and the savage warlike nature of their army, relishing in the ghoulish looks of the slain. Soon he became known as The Skullgod, the Crimson God of blood, war, slaughter, carnage, and fighting, ever thirsting for killing, for battle, for the very act of war. The strongest and most followed of the Malevolent Ones, he seeks to conquer in his forever-war, his worship is the act of battle, the act of killing, the slaughter of the worthy. He is manifested in the flesh of the slain, their bodies stripped of muscle and hearts to be pushed and implanted on the god, keeping his monstrous visage alive and moving in the material world. However, trapped under volcanic ash and lava for 100,000 years has rotted away his body, and he remains a skeleton for now, until new flesh and worship brings him back to being a mobile beast, fighting his own battles.

Tyguq
Image
Shadows and secrets, plots and plans, always laying right at the edge of your vision, this dark god is the shadowed puppet-master. Strike the robe, and the figure vanishes, for the figure is the shadows themselves, dancing in many places and parts, for wherever there is light, there is a shadow, and wherever there is darkness, the shadows reign supreme. Legor detests this being, for it is a shadowy manipulator, rather than a strong warrior combatant - he sees it as a weakling.

Heghthykk
Image
Disease and decay, as ancient as Legor, but less manifested than the war god, it is physically manifested as a living swarm of germs,, viruses, and fungus. It pulses and oozes new sicknesses and plights, infecting all of its followers but granting them un-death in the face of their leaking wounds and melting flesh. All of its members would be diseased but remain alive in some way, their sores and open wounds being just as much of a weapon as any guns they had. Their spit would be just as vile of a weapon as any dirty sword or knife, and whatever armor they wore could only be disinfected by the most powerful bleaches and fires.

Aoyhkk
Image
Greed, opulence, a very beautiful god, shimmering golden and adorned in jewels, encrusted in its great armor of purity and light, but always wanting more. It is also very devious and cunning, and very powerful behind the scenes. Behind all that golden adornment and shimmering would be a decayed beast-like corpse, animated and living, lusting for more psychic energy of sacrifices to it and more of the valuable materials that can be mined, stolen, or melted from these inferior human beings on the planet. Another worthless god in the eyes of the mighty Legor.

Ozgyok
Image
The god of suffering, pain, and harm, ever bleeding from the wounds of spikes, his skull adorned with razor-wire, his eyes empty hollows that spew forth blood from their needle infested wounds. This is a god that is worshiped through the causation of suffering, pain, and anguish. This is a god that Legor hates, as well, for he sees it as a weak abomination, and cowardly, thirsting for dishonor.

Qutergnle
Image
The goddess of smog, the Modifier, the Mechskull, Boltgod, she is the goddess of mutation and perverse usage of knowlege, be it biological or mechanical. She is worshipped from the acts of self modification using the malicious technology or manipulations of the corrupted sciences, the forcing of modifications on others, genetic and technological modifications with malicious intent, augmentation, perversion of life, and pollution. She uses direct combat methods with hulks of steel, using all available technology, and with genetically modified troops and bio weapons. This is the youngest of the Malevolent Ones, but far older than mankind, one of the last born in the dark days of the Technocratic Extermination. Manifested as the Machine Skull, in her form of a bipedal mech, mixed with bones, organs, muscle, and tissue of the fallen, she is a mighty warrior god, but also an intellectual god. Legor and Qutergnle are compatible, but differ in worship and methodology and purpose.

Benign Beings

Corat
Image
Technology. Helpful to mankind to serve his own goals, but hides itself from actually being known by anyone other than the most loyal and enthusiastic worshipers of technology. Is a part of the Good Three.

The Seeker
Image
Mostly silent, and seeking knowledge, the seeker observes for its own reasons, but shares what it knows with Corat and Beelik, the being that manifests itself as self improvement through biological enhancements.

Enhancement and Adaptation Point

Player Adaptation Point System.
Image
To earn an adaptation point, of which only a maximum of two can be earned for any given roleplay, the roleplay must be well written, with minimal spelling errors and minimal grammatical issues. It must be written where it flows well too, where the words themselves express the story. Something that is well written has no detractions from the words it uses, it engrosses the reader.

Adaptation Points will be tracked within the Adaptation post found in the player forums, which all players will be required to make. The different way they can be spent will be in the Adaptation Shop forum, under one of the announcements. Once you have chosen an alignment, you can begin buying adaptations immediately. Adaptation points cannot be earned back by any usual means, and every adaptation is permanent, so choose wisely.

You can have all four Level One adaptations. You may only have three Level Two adaptations, which will cost more than the Level One adaptations, however to have a Level Two adaptation you must already possess the Level One adaptation before it. Level Three adaptations are restricted to two, and so on, until you reach the Level Four adaptation, which unlocks the special fifth and sixth adaptation.

This last adaptation of the enhancement tree is an “elite” adaptation, and when you have it, you have completed your Tier One requirements, and unlock Tier Two adaptations. Prices will be listed in the shops. If any changes are made to the layout/specs of the enhancement tree you will be refunded any points that are from removed, or changed skills, and you can spend these over again, even if you already have a tier two or tier three skill-set unlocked – without relocking them.

Rolplays that have an act of "Worship" for a particular Malevolent or Benign Being will give you points for that deity. However, you cannot spend those points for different deities. They are locked for each. So if you earn 20 adaptation points from Legor, you cannot spend them on Aoyhkk. If you earn Malevolent Adaptation points you cannot spend them on Benign Adaptations, and visa versa. The moment you spend any Malevolent points, you become tainted, as well.

Benign powers and abilities do not cause taint but can be tainted.

General Tech Tree for Humanity

The basic tech tree will start with the general unlockables for the Benign, which are those aligned with humanity. Each Benign god or goddess requires this basic tech tree to unlock further skills granted to the worthy. In the event of corruption these passive skills will remain, however any further skills will be rendered useless as Malevolent skills are gained (you will have to trade off Benevolent gifted skills for Malevolent gifted skills as you get them.

Image

Technomod 1: Implant Infrastructure.
1 Adaptation Point
Nanobots will be injected into your body. The nanobots will build a basic network of communication from your brain to every part of your body following your own nerves, and a storage of nanobot depots and manufacturing centers in your lymph nodes. This also allows for later enhancements and communication with your adaptations and is required for the Enhanced Biochemical Module.

Technomod 2: Enhanced Biochemical Module.
1 Adaptation Point
Requires: Technomod 1: Implant Infrastructure.
The Enhanced Biochemical Module is a small implant that will be injected into your abdomen, about the size of a penny, which will move behind your liver and give basic instructions to the nanobots for communication with your cells. It increases efficiency of the nanobots, and is required for the Information Dataport.

Biomod 1: Modification Vaccination.
1 Adaptation Point
The Modification Vaccination is not really a vaccine, but a modification of the immune system so that it will not attack biological or technological modifications, preventing rejection of artificially grown and implanted organs or machine parts and abilities. Required to unlock the Cellular Nucleus Enhancement adaptation.

Biomod 2: Cellular Nucleus Enhancement.
1 Adaptation Point
Requires: Modification Vaccination.
The Cellular Nucleus Enhancement modification is simply put, a hard drive in every cell. Using the same technique as normal cells information will be stored in the nucleus of every cell using a nanobot-built DNA structure, enabling complex information and instructions to be stored. Through the redundancy of having this information in cells, the data cannot be lost and all corruptions purged easily.

Infomod 3: Information Dataport.
2 Adaptation Points
Requires: Cellular Nucleus Enhancement and Enhanced Biochemical Module
The Information Dataport is simply put a communication device that will be implanted in the back of the skull, which allows for new information to be added to your body. This will let the nanobots communicate between your biological and technological enhancements, and also build the links between these and your brain, so that you can use them. This is the last of the General Adaptations required before you can use any of the Benign Tech.

General Tech Tree for Legor
Image
Bloodmod 1: Bonemaker
1 Adaptation Point
Although painful, your bones are infused with more density of tightly packed metal fibers using corrupted nanotechnology, throwing you into body convulsing spasms of pain and terror, leaving your shattered racked body to recover. You'll find your bones don't break easily now, and that you weigh more over time, as the density increases.

Bloodmod 2: Steelness
1 Adaptation Point
Requires Bonemaker.
Through extreme torment, the corrupted nanobots retool your muscles with fibers of steel interwoven with your own muscle. You'll notice a slight increase in tone, albeit minimal, and a sudden boost of strength to twice that of a normal human. However, the pain never really goes away, and the density increases slowly over time.

Bloodmod 3: Scent
2 Adaptation Points
Requires Steelness
You become attuned to the smell of blood and combat, and have a crude instinct to look for it. You can also sense other followers of Legor the Crimson, and will not feel the urge to fight them. You can also smell the taint and mutation of other Malevolent influenced humans, and benign ones.

Skullmod 3: Target Striker
2 Adaptation Points
Requires Steelness
Your hand eye coordination is enhanced, as is your eyesight. Those who are also followers of Legor gain an aurora around them of blood, and you can tell who is on your own side, versus those who are not. The other Malevolent ones have their own aurora as well, as do the untainted forces of humanity. You also gain a seventh sense of who is worthy of killing for the honor of the Crimson God, and who is not worth the sacrifice of blood - or would even be dishonorable (the weak, young, and old).

Slaughterer 4: Legor's Blessing
4 Adaptation Points
Requires Scent and Target Striker
The Crimson God of Blood, the Skullgod, the Mighty Legor favors you, and you now have his blessing. Your instincts to kill, and fight, to kill in his name, are now strong. You serve him and belong to him, and will do his will, to maim, to fight, to slaughter. In a painful ceremony a hole is cut in the back of your neck, and shoved in is the crudely fashioned version of a Dataport, which will then drill itself into your spine and inject your body with enhanced nanobots.

You have now unlocked the first tier of the Skullgod Skills.

General Tech Tree for Tyguq

Image

Shadow 1: Quicker Than The Eye
1 Adaptation Point
Malevolently tainted nanobots increase your mental capacity, your overall reaction times, and perception, making you react slightly faster. You find yourself being much more nimble, capable of pulling slight of hand tricks, and hiding your intentions easily, while also reading people much faster. You won't know when someone is working for Tyguq - but you will know soon if someone is not.

Shadow 2: See No Evil
1 Adaptation Point
Requires Quicker Than The Eye
Your eyesight is improved through manipulation of the nanobots inside the cells of your eye, growing more rods and cones, giving your eyesight more acuity. You can now read over someone's shoulder, or see the movement of their lips across the room and know what they are saying.

Whisper 2: Hear No Evil
1 Adaptation Point
Requires Quicker Than The Eye
Your auditory perception is much better. You can pick up sounds outside the normal hearing range by ~10% higher and lower, in addition to hearing fainter sounds and whispers. The nanobots have in effect, bettered your hearing, however you wont be able to "turn it off" so to speak.

Tactile 2: Feel No Evil
1 Adaptation Point
Requires Quicker Than The Eye
Your sense of touch is greatly enhanced, but like the auditory enhancement, you wont be able to lessen your tactile senses. You however, can now read coded messages that are merely bumps and dips on paper, pushed slightly too hard, or other coded tactile messages. You can also feel some vibrations better through your feet if you forgo shoes.

Shadow 3: Think No Evil
2 Adaptation Points
Requires See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Feel No Evil
Nanobots begin to bridge connections between nerves in your brain, giving you a faster response time in thinking, and more effective information storage. Using the other passive skills, you now have a photographic memory of events that include all of your major senses, sans taste and smell.

Enemy Mine 4: Tyguq's Blessing
4 Adaptation Points
Requires Think No Evil
You are the chosen of the Shadowgod, you lurk and seek information, you use disinformation as your weapon, but can strike down easily those who underestimate your power. You are fully in his service, and will do his calling, whatever that may be. Even you don't know your god's motives or end-goals, only the intrigue and webs he spins.

You have now unlocked the first tier of the Shadowgod Skills.

General Tech Tree for Heghthykk
Image
Pestilence 1: Immunodeficiency
1 Adaptation Point
You are infected with a virus that destroys your immune system - but prevents you from dying from chronic and acute illnesses, and makes you feel better when you are sicker. Your body can take any biological adaptations without rejection, and they will be tainted and diseased quickly.

Sickness 1: Carrier
1 Adaptation Point
Deadly viruses and bacteria are stored in your filled lymph nodes, ready to explode at the surface of your skin once the parasites in your body dig their way through, at the time they are needed, leaving wormholes for your diseased pus to ooze from.

Leaking 1: Spreader
1 Adaptation Point
Everything you touch is now diseased. Everything you contact is now contagious. You are a walking plague.

Pus 1: Gangrene
1 Adaptation Point
Even if your flesh decays it cannot die, diseased bacteria will now carry nutrients to your infected, bursting cells, as cancerous replacements and leaking tumors of filth replace once healthy flesh. You smell bad, and your odor alerts everyone to your presence.

Pestilence 2: Diseased
1 Adaptation Point
Requires Immunodeficiency, Carrier, Spreader, and Gangrene
You feel the writhing of the diseases under your skin, the parasites and the sickness inside you manifesting as a near conscious entity. You feel the worms inside you grow larger with time, until they slither out to find new hosts and infect the well. Your mind is diseased, but the viruses and bacteria work together in your sickened brain to keep you functional. Your loss of intelligence is made up for by them, albeit you become unusually giddy at the thought of spreading sickness.

Pestilence 3: Open Sores
2 Adaptation Points
Requires Diseased
The open sores on your body now leak more than ever, corrupting even technology to the sickness of your god. You can now attach severed limbs to your body and make them a part of you, and control them, even if they are non-human.

Pestilence 4: Bloat
4 Adaptation Points
Requires Open Sores
Your rotting corpse-like body is now bloated with the sicknesses, your bones diseased and cancerous, growing thicker with layers of mesh-like diseased fibers. Your bloated body is larger than that of normal men, your clothing having be half absorbed by your splitting sides, as you leak out disease. Your mobility is eschewed for contagiousness, as you stagger around and seek more for your god.

Pestilence 5: Heghthykk's Blessing
8 Adaptation Points
Requires Bloat
More like a curse, your bloated entrails finally burst, and you drain out your filth and sickness wherever you stand (your god hopes you will have gone somewhere public) and your body becomes more nimble again, but your intelligence and ability to feel pain is severely impacted. Your strength increases from the diseased muscles, however your energy is now derived from eating healthy flesh and absorbing it, your gaping sore of an abdomen being somewhat unable to process normal foods now. You are of the worms and disease, your very touch can taint anything. When people see you, they scream "Kill it with fire!".

You have now unlocked the first tier of the Wormgod Skills.

Thank you :3

It's for a roleplay game I am furiously writing the lore and fluff for :p

It's the successor to MafiaRPG and I am hoping it takes off. But I figure I would share it here as I am in the midst of the creation process. More gods and more beings are planned, and once the basic pantheon of Malevolent Ones and Benign Beings is done, I will finish the actual back story and start the rule-making.

Then expansion of the Malevolent Ones themselves will occur, along with how their Chosen Demons and such work.
