Since we're beginning to delve deeper into EE lore for use in our RPs while simultaneously creating fan-canon that diverges from EE canon (as in the case of HWTV), I'm going to start logging characters in this thread that exist only in forum RP (and were either never created in-game or deleted after a brief in-game existence), with an emphasis on their connections to each other. EDIT: This thread is for my own characters; if anyone else wants to do something similar with theirs, it would probably be easiest if everyone did it in their own thread. We could still have hyperlinks to each other's characters when there's connections between them and stuff.

The first of these will be Jill Ganon. Other characters will be logged in their own posts.

Name: Jill Ganon
Gender: female
Race: Tusken
Age: 22
Class: Rogue (infiltration specialist)

Bio:
Granddaughter of the Jill Ganon whose story was immortalized in the Courtly Love Tale and heiress to the Ganon mercantile enterprise. But this Jill had to take what was hers back from her evil twin aunts. Before learning of balance sheets and organizational behavior, she first had to learn honor and courage on the battlefields of Bastion and Corsica, then of skulduggery and betrayal by her friend Kali Narayan. Now, after having assumed the headship of Ganon Mercantile for two years, she feels her nobler arts beginning to slip. Not wanting to disgrace her forefathers' legacy of valiance, she seeks a worthy adventure to become part of again.
Jill became friends with Abacus Watchtower while studying at the Great Library in Camelot. He helped her reclaim the family fortune from her aunts and stays in contact with her when he can.

Jill's full backstory is in the Fanfic forum located here: http://ee.k5p.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=637

Kali Narayan, female Cyclops rogue
This character's backstory invents facts about a region of Earth hardly ever mentioned in the game or lore (India). Therefore, there's a good chance that if the game ever creates content related to India, this backstory will be in conflict with it and will need to be changed in order to be consistent with EE canon. It's probably remote and a long time from now if/when that will ever happen, though.
The name may sound familiar to some, because while I chose actual Indian names, it sounds like "Tali nar Rayyah" from Mass Effect. That was deliberate, and although Tali helped inspire Kali's coloring, that's the extent of the connection between them.

Age:28
appearance: dark blue (almost purplish) skin, blue hair, average height/build, reddened horns, brown spots and green markings, yellow eye with reddish pupil.
gear: twin kukri knives signify her homeland, other gear is regular rogue fare

In the land of Hindustan, where social status is determined by race, the few inhabitants who descend from Faerie stock are at the bottom of the ladder. Most of her fellow Cyclops would have been more than satisfied to have what Kali Narayan did: training as an assassin for her master's noble house. Even this comparatively high status wasn't enough for Kali, though. Her spirit demanded complete freedom, not just for herself but for her fellow Cyclops. She tried to foment a rebellion among them, but when the time came for them to throw off their chains, their resolve faltered and they turned on her. Escaping her master's wrath, Kali fled Hindustan and managed to cross all the way to Europe, where she found fellow Cyclops living freely and equally with other Beasts. Knowing she would never be able to go back and help her kind in Hindustan, she adapted to the new language and culture of Europe.
The process of learning of her new home included learning its history, so Kali spent a lot of time reading books in the Camelot Great Library. This was where she met and befriended a fellow rogue, the Tusken Jill Ganon. Jill enlisted Kali's help on a quest of familial revenge, but in the months leading up to that event they each went separately on several adventures. Jill had a family fortune to aim for, but Kali had to seek her own fortune, and after several harrowing brushes with death on these journeys with nothing to show for it, Kali decided she had paid all the dues she owed and wasn't going to pay any more. It caused her entire outlook on life to change. Instead of seeing Jill as a friend to help, she saw only a stepping stone to her own ascension. And that new perspective allowed Kali to see a new path that Jill could help her take to fortune. That is why Kali went before Jill's aunts Risia and Anastasia, the objects of Jill's revenge. And that is why when their plot against Jill failed, Kali Narayan was no more.
Bits and pieces of evidence, like things Kali said around Jill and Abacus, scraps of writings Abacus has found in his research, and Kali's untranslated Hindustani journal, suggest that Kali possessed knowledge of Eastern mystic powers unknown to Europeans. Abacus is confident in his deductions that they involved the sacrifice of blood, and include the tying of life forces to other places and people. One Hindustani word eludes his translative grasp, but might be taken to mean "reincarnation."

Josef Axion, male Foxen Knight
brother to Jakob Axion

age: 26
height/build: lean, and a bit on the short side
Not a lot of Beasts say that they're glad that they weren't born during the Age of the Covenant, but Josef Axion is one of those few. Unlike his brother who left the Ranger Kingdoms to seek his fortune in Central Europe, Josef found himself embroiled in the constant border wars against the People of the Skull. He became a member of the Kingdoms' special forces group, specializing in leading small teams on sabotage missions behind enemy lines. Josef would do whatever was necessary to stop the Skull People from encroaching on Foxen territory. When the genius Ogre general Ming Kong rose up to command the Skull People, it was Josef's controversial tactics that saved the day. When Ming King crossed Jagged Creek by building a bridge out of his own soldiers' bodies, Josef denied him a base of operations by burning the village of Northwatch, even though the villagers were still in it. Ever since then, Ming Kong and Josef have been mortal nemeses to each other.

Richard Bathington: male Yeti aristocrat (formerly made living as a Knight)
This character may be made in-game to replace Jakob Axion if there is a character wipe. There's a good chance his physical appearance will change from what's described here if that becomes the case.

age: 51
appearance: blue skin but with warmer tones than the frigid ice-blue of most Yetis. Tall and regal. Usually wears red suit jacket with trousers and buckled shoes (a la the Hart Fest credit shop suit)
family status: married to wife Leena, two children - Quentos (4/m) and Shasta (6/f)

Of all the noble families of Anglorum, the Bathingtons were the ones the people would vote Most Likely to Be the Next to Go Down in Flames, if such a vote were held. They dabbled in something far more dangerous in magic: politics. Even though they had almost no political power in the Arthurian kingdom, they were always speaking of issues like economic policy and checks and balances as though they were on a senate floor wherever they were. It was what made house-head Richard the one who hosted the Nottingham Tea Party, which was attended by Abacus Watchtower.

Bingham Montgomery, male Anura sea captain (fought like a Rogue in his younger days)
age: 81
look: salty as the sea on which he lived his life. Though his once-gaunt frame has been swelled out be his luxurious lifestyle, the activities of sailing ensure that it will never be flabby.

Most of the sea-faring Beasts of Europe have tried to blot out from their memories the horrific band of pirates that ravaged their waters a generation ago. Their brutality was such that they were known as the Sea Men. The infamous Grumkin Billy Bludd was their captain, and his first mate was the less notorious but no less ruthless Anura Bingham Montgomery. Even after they amassed a fortune large enough to live their lives in decadence, their primal lust for violence drove them to plague the waters still, until the royal navies of Europe finally marshalled a fleet that crushed the Sea Men with sheer brute force. Montgomery escaped with his skin but little else, and found himself adrift for days, during which he had time to think about his life. After years of having every material thing the flesh desired except true satisfaction, he realized that he needed a higher purpose in his life. One day, he washed up on an island he'd never known existed. It was here that he met his true calling in the service of David "Kristjen," who had a need for both his seamanship and his Sea-Man-ship... that is, Montgomery's tolerance for unspeakable violence.
Kristjen revealed to Montgomery that he was actually a Man named Christian, with the mission in life of bringing Man back to the Earth by figuring out how to change Beasts into Men. Christian spoke knowledgeably of the problems facing the Beasts of Europe and convinced Montgomery that Europe's best hope was to bring back the ambition and ingenuity of Man. Montgomery knew that this was his reason for life, and committed himself to the cause. His tasks involved supplying Christian with goods from mainland Europe but also with live Beasts for Christian to conduct his experiments on.
One day, as Montgomery went to collect the bodies from the latest shipwreck caused by Christian's weather machine, among them he found a young Caprican woman who was stubbornly clinging to life. Something told Montgomery that this one was special, so he brought her aboard his ship as a guest instead of processing her like the other two that he recovered from the wreck. Montgomery believed that this Caprican, Shianu Sabaton, could be reasoned into bringing her druidic skills to their assistance.
[There is a magic lock on the rest of the entry, with a piece of paper attached on which there is a scribbled note: "Let the evil that Man did not live on in our memory but lie interred with his bones. -SS" It is believed that the lock can only be broken if the threat of Man ever returns to Earth.]

Julie Normelforce, female Noctari mage
age 43
look: snow owl feather pattern. Tall and deceptively strong for a bookish magess. Usually wearing red robes with gold or silver trim.

For a while, Abacus had a partner in his research into the history of Man, and not only a partner but one who shared his beliefs that their research could be used to help Beastdom fight its present-day struggles. She was Julie Normelforce, an ambitious Noctari from New Badari who demonstrated even more passion for the subject than Abacus himself. She was also a more powerful mage than Abacus, and served as an inspiration for him to better himself.
Abacus did not realize until it was almost too late that the reason she pursued the "forbidden" knowledge so hard was because she wanted to use it for her own gain. When she branched off to pursue her research without him, Abacus slowly began to fear the worst, and when Shianu and Jakob told him that Julie had absconded with a class of wide-eyed druid trainees, he knew his fears had been realized.
Julie had discovered a buried Man's private arsenal that included miniature nuclear weapons, and had intended to use them to take over the world, for only she knew their true potential. The druids were to become her private army, but first they had to learn how to use their newfound technological power. Julie arranged for them to be transported by ship to an island where they could train in secret, but before they could escape, Abacus caught up with her. In the ensuing sea battle, one of the trainees misfired a rocket that blew a hole in her boat, causing it and the arsenal to sink to the ocean floor. Julie was seen falling into the water, and never came back up. The surviving trainees were sentenced to exile in a Roman monastery.

Ming Kong, Ogre male
age unknown, had to be at least 50 though
look: pointed beard and mustache, usually wearing a white turban with white robes, and carrying a white war fan

The Ranger Kingdoms were the inroads to Europe for the People of the Skull, but the Foxen who lived there never gave up their territory despite millennia of warfare. To secure a path to their future plans, the elemental dragon and the lord of Hell anointed a wise young Ogre named Ming Kong to be the next khan of the People. Their unholy blessing granted Ming Kong supernatural intelligence that made him a nearly-clairvouyant genius of the battlefield. It took him more than a decade to unite the tribes of the People, many of whom were resistant to his rule, but once he got them to stop looking inward, he had the power he needed to look outward.

The Foxen people soon found themselves waging a war unlike any they had ever fought before. Ming Kong seemed to know how to break any defense, thwart any attack, and always make the most carefully-laid plans come to naught. Much of his ingenuity came from the creative ways he sacrificed his own men. This included using them as disease carriers, living bridges, even catapult missiles. The Foxen could not comprehend even any mortal, even an evil one, disregarding life so categorically.

And so it took one to know one. When every other Foxen shrank in fear at Ming Kong's brutality, Josef Axion chose to embrace it. By thinking like Ming Kong, he and his elite team of rangers were able to sabotage many of Ming Kong's plans.

When the time came to draw out Ming Kong, Josef had just the bait: his own brother, Jakob. He summoned Jakob all the way from Anglorum to lead the defense of Splinter Hill, knowing that Ming Kong would find out and take interest in Jakob. Even so, Ming Kong saw through Josef's maneuvers and captured him in his assassination attempt, forcing Josef to drink a concoction of Foxen flesh and blood with a will-control potion in it. Thinking himself safe from Josef, he ordered Josef to kill Jakob, whom he had also captured, but he did not account for just how pure Josef's hate for him was, which enabled Josef to keep control of himself just long enough for the opportunity to strike.

Josef had Ming Kong's head preserved and displayed on a monument constructed on the ruins of the village of Northwatch.

((Yes, this is meant to resemble the legendary Zhuge Liang, a.k.a. "Kongming," from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I always rooted for Wei or Wu when reading the book or playing the video games, so I hated it when he was always 3 steps ahead of everyone else.))
