Huskweller Duelist - by Spectre Husky "Nobody ever said being an adventurer came easy. Starting from scratch, this scrappy young Beast decided early on to get as strong and well known as possible. Many were skeptical... 'You look ridiculous in that...' - 'Do you really think monsters will fear you?' - 'You couldn't slash your way out of a paper bag!' '...I'll show them all...' Months, then years went by, full of successes, failures, but most importantly, growth. The Beast started out a raggedy beanpole, totally unfit for hunting and slaying. Despite that, the now accomplished adventurer arrived home after a long journey, bearing the bones of many slain monsters upon his back." Windseer - by Spectre Husky "She knew who you were...the day before you were born. Your actions have been kept closely under her watch, and your life under her wing. She cannot fly, but she sees through the eyes of the wind. Your secrets are safe with here. I only pray you do no such thing to offend her...the power which easily sustains your life can be wrought into mind-bending pain in an instant. May the wind ever be at your back." Thunderkin - by Spectre Husky "Above your hear, the skies darken, slowly at first. Then, with a roar of wind louder than any dragon, thunderheads crash in the sky! Admist the clamour created by the storms appearance, a golden glow begins to resonate behind the dark clouds. You turn your eyes skyward as the first drops of fresh rain dance to the ground. 'What sorcery is this, to control the very weather above us...?' you wonder anxiously. A shining light akin to the sun starts to barge its way through the intimidating darkness. Suddenly, with the quickness of only lightning, a lone being rockets to the earth before you in a rush of heat and steal. The Beast stands slowly, flipping the now steady rain off its muzzle. A pair of sharp green eyes gaze over you, and the Beast begins to speak. 'The time has come for Thunder to reclaim the glory of the skies...' A wicked blast of sound answers the lighting bolt which bore this creature down, announcing his identity... THOR" Seafoam Star - by Spectre Husky "My life started out in a cold, dismal room, where I slowly came to consciousness. As time went on, I gained the sensation of my body being constructed and pieces together. It felt...exquisitely painful. An arm or leg, followed by a surge of new receptors; overwhelming senses I had never dealt with before. Later on, I found out how to describe the feeling: "pins and needles", was the phrase. Mind you, when every touch was new, pins felt like swords and needles like spears. I continued on despite the daunting fear of new things, avoiding xenophobia as strongly as I could. Eventually I traveled away from home - that bleak laboratory where I had come to fruition. Solid earth gave way to sand, and save gave way to...water. I was terrified, but I knew the day had arrived to face my fear and experience this new facet of the world. ...Long story short, I'm not comfortably addicted to the rush of the ocean. Not what you would expect from one of my kind, I know. But what isn't surprising these days!" Ladybane - by Spectre Husky As the saying goes - "Hell hath no fury, like a woman scorned." And, baby, you better believe this girl's past was tragic. Scorned, spurned, scarred, and burned - and what does that leave us with? One heck of a vicious hand! If you're looking for some good old romance-novel revenge, take a walk in these shoes. We couldn't find any heels, sorry. Hornheart Soldier - by Spectre Husky "The local bounty board was littered with posters, ragged and worn from weather and time. Many advertisements asked for aid in simple tasks. The occasional few promised grand rewards for claiming the lives of infamous monsters, and even Beasts. Adventurers of all races jostled together at the board, hoping to find profit and recognition among these pitiful errands. Slowly and deliberately, one knight waded through the mass. His armor clanged against the weapons and gear of those around him, startling some and irritating others; he did not seem to care either way. His eyes scanned, disinterested, over the contests of the wall. Squinting and growling under his breath, the soldier bullied his way around the crowd to the back of the board. Stretching his muzzle into a satisfied sneer, the Beast reached for a dingy parchment tacked to the reverse side of the Bounty Board. Surrounded by jeering remarks and terrible pictures carved into the wood, a lone cry for help hung scratched in an old letter... '--Please...Whoever you are, I need your blade. Strange Beasts came and took my family, leaving me here alone. I need someone to teach me to fight, so I can get back what was taken from me. Help me, and I promise to repay you...somehow, someday. Just promise you will lend me your strength. Signed, Travis.' Clenching the aged letter in one paw, our hero(?) set off to find the location listed...and his new apprentice." Greed Guard - by Spectre Husky "This truly was the greatest heist in ages. A pair of notorious brothers had slipped into the Regional Treasury, attempting to make off with magical artifacts! Such a bolt feat was not without risk, however...the sound of falling coins rang around the brothers, causing one to spin around. Wasn't his partner in crime behind him a moment ago? 'Br-brother? Where did you go, you greedy fool?' the lone criminal called out anxiously. The jingling of coins halted as a dull thud sounded against the wall. Turning slowly, the nervous thief looked over to where his brother lay bleeding beside a statue. Rushing to him, the crook rattled his companion, but to no avail. Backing away quickly, the Beast's eyes scanned for an attacker, finally falling on the statue. Though motionless, the armored figure's blade dripped in fresh blood... The remaining villain couldn't run fast enough before the statue's eyes opened and its sword came crashing down once more." Golden Lizard Garb - by Spectre Husky "Sit back, relax, soak up the sun of the Dustshore landscape...and maybe dismantle a pesky monster or two! Composed of salvaged hides, scales, and chiton shells, this set draws its powerful defenses from natural sources. A druid is taught to absorb the energy of the earth and use it to their advantage. With this equipment at your disposal, you can take your craft to new heights! Oh, and pass the sunblock - I'm gonna fry!" Celestial Conjurer - by Spectre Husky "Upon a tall hill, far away from town, sits a humble thatch hut. A large looking glass protrudes from it's roof, glinting in the fading evening light. Ever present at the glass is a quiet beast in gently shimmering armor. If you listening closely enough, you can hear him muttering sweet nothings to the stars as they emerge from the night sky. What secrets has he seen? Will he share them with us? Who knows... but one thing is for certain: this Beast's eye has beheld sighs beyond description, just beyond our earthly plane." Shiverleaf - by Spectre Husky Defying the traditions of his ancestry, one Atavian dared brave the danger of Winter. The risk was great, the reward was perhaps small at first, but the frosty future was in his grasp. Feathers green as the frostbitten pines, and chilled might of the blue mountains; no one knows his true reason for not migrating... Perhaps he simply couldn't bear the burden of a coconut?" Medicoyote - by Spectre Husky "The canine nips off the ends of your stitches, nodding with a satisfied grunt. His light blue eyes scan you one last time, lingering on the visible bruises still healing across your limbs. 'You'll take some time off from adventuring, correct?' You nod slowly, wincing at some lingering pain in your neck. 'Still feeling a bit roughed up, eh? I'll take care of that for you.' Standing to walk behind you, the Coyote's impressive frame towers above your seated position. Light glimmers off his pristine medical armor. He places a well-practices paw against your nape and mutters a flowing, almost musical incantation. The tension in your neck released gradually until your neck can flex without struggle. After all, he's got the healer's touch." Arcane Lifesap - by Spectre Husky "'These fools are a waste of life force...the Dark One in the hood was right. Their lives are better off used as fuel for my own. Time to turn those nasty druids' magicks against them...!' The withered husks of foolish Beasts piled up in the wake of the Syphoness. Her enchanted wraps billowed menacingly around her feet, imposing fear upon anyone who laid eyes upon the cloth. Her goals were not noble, nor her intent pure...but perhaps there was a greater force driving her madness forward. Fate has a strange way of sucking us in...and never letting go." Righteous Forester - by Spectre Husky "A lone mountaineer came across the shalow lake. Wart of crossing, he tread lightyly through it, but lost his hammer somehow in crossing. While bemoaning his fortune on the opposite shore, a brilliant light shone from beneath the surface of the water before him. A glistening figure arose from the crystal waters, betraying the depths which the Beast has crossed. Reaching out with both hands, the statuesque form offered two axes: one of gold, and the other of mithril. 'Did you drop one of these, my weary friend?' Trembling slightly, the small Beast could only shake his head and mutter his disagreement. A gentle smile crossing its face, the figure placed the axes before the wide-eyed wandered. Reaching behind its back, one last weapon emerged from the lake - the lost hammer. Astonished, the Beast could only cling to his recovered possession and gawk at the newfound wealth. 'Go now, friend. Continue in honesty, and this land will be your friend.'" Bumblevine - by Spectre Husky Hey ... quit it! St-stop! Knock it off, that tickles! Go pollinate flowers OVER THERE. This particular set can be a terrible nuisance - for your enemies! If they aren't prepared to feel the sting of your power, they'll be left feeling swollen and choked up. Capable of delivering irritating projectiles from afar, or more grievous wounds up close. Don't forget your Epi-Pen... things are about to get buzzy. Ahem, busy. Amplewood - by Spectre Husky "A tiny wooden cottage In the middle of a forest Sits year after yea after year
Your really wouldn't spot it And it may be for the best Through there's nothing here to fear
Two chimneys sit atop the roof Gently spewing smoke and soot Clouds flowing up, ever whirling
The owner chubby and aloof Still strong and fairly light of foot Keep a log fire continually burning
Friendly and inviting, his masked face grins This Winter need not be so cold 'Come in, before the snow begins!'" Tronzard - by Spectre Husky Fancy Frawg - by Spectre Husky Rock Ewe - by Spectre Husky Vigorous Strapwolf - by Spectre Husky
